ABOUT MFT
MFT is a movement for the modern mom. We seek to release moms from the grind of daily motherhood, the overwhelm of the mental load, the rigidity of nap schedules and the drudgery of the laundry through our community events and other offerings. Maternal mental health is critical for the wellbeing of women, children, families and society, yet it often feels difficult for moms to access healthy outlets for the intense feelings that come with this role. Motherhood has never been more isolating than in our modern culture. We’re over the isolation. If it takes a village to raise a child, our village better be fun as hell.
We created MFT to offer modern moms a therapeutic outlet, an opportunity to reclaim our bodies and to contact a perhaps long-forgotten but essential feeling of spontaneity and play. We invite moms to connect with their autonomy in a safe, inclusive community of other mamas who understand. Our offerings are tailored to mom life - our events will end early so you can still get a good night of sleep and be ready to tackle another day of momming hard.
MFT is not Mommy Wine Culture. We are elevated and cathartic fun. Mature yet playful. Responsible yet relaxed. Diligent and fun. A noble dance break for the Queen that you are.

ABOUT the founders
We bonded over a shared love of dance & fitness (along with cheese, fashion, and handshakes) over a decade ago. Over this time, we evolved as women and each became mothers, which gave us a direct understanding of the ebbs and flows of friendship that occur alongside immense personal change.
As the demands of life grew, we sought a way to reclaim the fun we experienced together and longed to have consistently. We needed an intentional outlet, a way to connect with friends that is aligned with our passion for betterment, self-care, and vibrant health. We craved this as women and especially as moms, and knew this craving was not unique to us, but rather universal to all moms and everyone that is in community with moms. Hence MFT was born into this world… and it was a lot easier than any of our actual childbirths, high five.
